CELEBRATING TEAM MATES

I am popping by today to share a quick card I demonstrated at my last team meeting and that the girls could create as their Make & Take.  I love to recognise team members milestones and achievements!

I CASEd this card from the upcoming 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue which goes live June 1st!  The original card can be found on page 152 and features the Touches of Texture stamp set which is current right now!

CASE to me, means to Copy And Selectively Edit.  So while I still have the same elements of the original card, I have changed it dramatically by changing colours, orientation and moving the ribbon embellishments to the side of the card.

The sentiments I used were from another returning favourite, Marquee Messages, perfect for saying how I feel about my awesome team mates!

I have also featured some the gorgeous new 2017-2019 In Colours on this card.  I adore the new Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Berry Burst colour combination! Oh, my gosh!  They just make me so happy!!

HAPPY CELEBRATION TRIO - STAMPIN' UP! ARTISAN BLOG HOP

On this Stampin' Up! Artisan blog hop we have a mix of Cool Treats and Happy Celebrations for you.  You have probably just arrived from Miriam van Eyden and the beautiful inspiration she gives us each hop.  If you are just starting here, hit the "Next" button at the end of this post to continue on the hop.

I chose to use the Happy Celebrations stamp set and Celebrations Duo Textured Embossing Folders for my projects.  This stamp set has a great mix of painterly images, large fonts and works beautifully with the font matching embossing folders.

I have also used some of the items from the Cupcakes and Carousels Embellishment kit to embellish each of the three cards.

Crumb Cake and Pool Party are a match made in heaven on this first card.  I was also trying to catch up on birthday cards - you can never have too many of those!

And while I didn't use the Cool Treats stamp set for this hop, I did use the Tasty Treats DSP as inspiration for my colour schemes.  I am slowly, slowly learning to chop and use my DSP instead of just admiring it in it's packet!

I went all geometrical for my second card.  I love the fun colours and play of shapes over the large "happy" sentiment.  I have used Pool Party again and teamed it with Watermelon Wonder as a last hoorah before that colour leaves us at the end of the month!

My last card was a mash of the first two - DSP and plenty of shapes!  I love how the debossed sentiments stand out beneath all my stamping.  It is a fun alternative to adding sentiment banners for a change.

I am delighted that the Happy Celebrations stamp set and Celebrations Duo Textured Embossing Folders are carrying through to the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! catalogue.  I have a lot more playing to do with them yet!

Next on the blog tour is my good friend Rochelle Blok.

A MIX OF MASCULINE - STAMP TO SHARE BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop! You have probably just arrived here from the amazingly talented Sandi MacIver.  Make sure you continue on the hop by selecting the Next button at the bottom of this post.  You don't want to miss a thing!

Our theme for this hop was going to be Nailed it, but sadly, that fabulous bundle is no longer available.  We have stuck with a masculine theme for our hop this month however, and I know you will see great ideas from my fellow hoppers!

I have gone a little left of field with this hop.  I am using some retiring product, retiring colours, carry over product, new product and new colours just to mix it up.  The first project I have for you is a mix of new and carry over.  I have blended some of the new Eastern Palace suite with carry over product, the Ready to Pop bundle.

I went with blues and greens and lots and lots of circles and dots!  These colours are perfect for the men in our lives!  I have also used the new Pool Party Bakers twine to make my own tassle on both projects.

I know my sweetie loves chocolate almost as much as I do, so I made a sweet little pouch from the Popcorn Box thinlits dies to put it in, matching it to my card.

I was going to leave it there.  But I am running out of time to have a last hoorah with product and colours that are leaving us.  I love the Project Life range of product and particularly the All Year Long collection as it includes two retiring colours that I just love - Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon.

So I came up with this 1970's inspired card!!  Sometimes even the guys in our lives need a reminder to just take it easy!

Head on over to the fabulous Caroline van der Straaten to see her fabulous masculine inspired projects.
